maybe for some use cases, but not necessarily all use cases. 

hubs already run some specialized functions today like pruning messages to fit storage.

Where will the scripting language run? On the hub?

Could be on hubs or clients. What if hubs could store and execute customized data transform functions to serve custom RPCs that could power mini apps?

What do you mean? You can use any scripting language to automate tasks on a hub. Do you mean something that runs in the client?

Like casts that auto-expire?

More cast types with dedicated functionality

-a bot that summarizes the top k personalized things in my feed offline and dms me everyday
-i would run doom on farcaster

delete around casts I want to stay on protocol would probably be big if possible (prioritize fifo storage around deleted casts instead)
