Passports and visas are practical way of enforcing country's border policy - ie. who can get in and in what numbers. If you say that passports and visas are scam, then logically countries, taxes etc. are scams too. Majority of citizens in these (well-functioning) countries would probably disagree with you here.

Ok, let me give you a practical example: Richard Spencer, high-profile American neo-nazi was banned by Polish government from entering Schengen Zone (EU) for period of 5 years. How would you enforce that ban without a border, passport and a visa? Or maybe he should be able to travel and freely spread his harmful shit?
