Charles Robert Darwin is considered one of the greatest English scientists and naturalists in history, who, through his voyages of discovery and careful studies, presented the theory of evolution and transformed our understanding of the natural world. He was born on February 12, 1809, in Shrewsbury, England. As a child, he was not recognized by his teachers or even his father. He himself says in this regard: “My teachers and father believed that I was a completely ordinary boy whose intelligence was below the standard.”

In 1859, Darwin published the book “On the Origin of Species”, which is considered one of the most important books in the history of science. This book presents the theory of evolution in a comprehensive and convincing way. Darwin presented a model for the evolution of life and demonstrated the role of natural selection in biological change, thus founding and establishing the principle of evolution. He died on April 19, 1882.
