GN Degens, Bans Update We're applying bans as we wrap up Season 12. In Season 13, all bans will be reset, giving everyone a fresh opportunity to earn tips. At the end of each season, we'll reevaluate activity using a rule-based analysis of our choosing to weed out behavior that closely aligns with farming. To prevent gaming the system, we won't announce rules in advance but will use various techniques to monitor how tips are being distributed.

I appreciated all your efforts to prevent farming. However, unfortunately, you also ended up banning the artist community. We, as artists, have always valued art, support each other and shared tips in a meaningful way. We buy art from friends, support each other in every possible way, and tipping is just another form of that support. This is never going to change. We are the ones who have helped bring almost all the artists from X to FC. These bans raise serious trust issues regarding the DEGEN project and your decisions. If you are unwilling to reconsider, please ensure the following: Rewrite the contract to unlock all locked DEGENs or implement a solution to release them before the next season starts. It is unfair to keep DEGENs locked without announcing the rules before the season. Please don’t play with artists—we have already endured a lot. We still believe DEGEN is one of the best things to happen on FC, and we don’t want to see it drift FARTHER away.

I agree mahesh. We brought alot of people to degen … which also brought a lot of eyes and money into the project. People were spending 500 dollars to get an allowance. We abided by the rules and some have been banned and others not. I am heart broken.

Disrespecting Farcaster Users Recently, @jacek has introduced new rules for the Degen project. However, unfortunately, these rules have been retroactively applied to the past month of user activity, completely disregarding their efforts. The overall sentiment in the Farcaster community right now makes it clear that many users feel disrespected. This isn’t the first time such actions have taken place—similar decisions in the past have upset major contributors and influential users. Without a doubt, this kind of rule-making and enforcement will harm Farcaster and lead to a loss of community members. Please keep an eye on this individual's actions.

Totally agree. I’m going to invest my time back in Tezos, there might not be as much hype and shiny newness, but it’s still the raddest art chain going imo and the team at @objktcom are constantly building an innovating.
