GN Degens, Bans Update We're applying bans as we wrap up Season 12. In Season 13, all bans will be reset, giving everyone a fresh opportunity to earn tips. At the end of each season, we'll reevaluate activity using a rule-based analysis of our choosing to weed out behavior that closely aligns with farming. To prevent gaming the system, we won't announce rules in advance but will use various techniques to monitor how tips are being distributed.

For Season 13, we’re lowering the daily allowance pool from 5M DEGEN per day to 1M DEGEN. This change aims to reduce token inflation and extend airdrop sustainability for years. Additionally, we’re removing the tip4tip rule since it hasn’t been effective at curbing farming.

Gn Jacek! I think for the artist community, the reciprocity is where folks will always get caught up - some of us only have so much to spread in tips and we are often tipping other artists for sharing their art or sharing our art out to their followers. Not everyone can keep track of this math through the month and we cannot control the tips we receive.

I appreciated all your efforts to prevent farming. However, unfortunately, you also ended up banning the artist community. We, as artists, have always valued art, support each other and shared tips in a meaningful way. We buy art from friends, support each other in every possible way, and tipping is just another form of that support. This is never going to change. We are the ones who have helped bring almost all the artists from X to FC. These bans raise serious trust issues regarding the DEGEN project and your decisions. If you are unwilling to reconsider, please ensure the following: Rewrite the contract to unlock all locked DEGENs or implement a solution to release them before the next season starts. It is unfair to keep DEGENs locked without announcing the rules before the season. Please don’t play with artists—we have already endured a lot. We still believe DEGEN is one of the best things to happen on FC, and we don’t want to see it drift FARTHER away.

I think the intentions are good but the drastic execution is not. We assess the rules and then decide to lock away our degen based on those stated rules. When rules change on the fly and become retroactive, it deflates the enthusiasm of wanting to stay involved. It's ok to adjust parameters, so if the t4t rule didn't work to your satisfaction, announce changes that will go into effect for the next season. But punishing those who followed rules as stated on the official FAQ doesn't sit well. I don't tend to have conviction in a project that will vaguely assess rules that have a direct monetary impact to me.

To ban people that followed the rules you set forth is unethical. I followed the t4t rules and didn’t use mcdegen and yet I was still banned. I don’t think this is going to go the way you intended but I wish you luck.

Certainly understand your frustration and your good intentions behind it all. But, for every honest person on blockchain there is a scumbag waiting to exploit the system. Filtering out the bad element while *not* punishing the honest users is the key. Changing rules at will or keeping them secret will not inspire confidence. It will drive many people away. The thieves however, will remain - looking for new loopholes.

I get the point, but I don't get the approach. I definitely sent over 60% of my tips to mcdegen this season But I also used that Degen to lock up more TWICE in this season too. My plan with the tips I earned - lock more degen I'll be honest and say I also used some of the tips to buy a dGen1 - obviously a consumer purchase so probably not what mcdegen was intended before but it supports my point I used an accepted and promoted system to access my Degen early in order to contribute more to the Degen eco Now I'm banned. And I'm regretful of those lock extensions.

Please, reconsider my ban. I believed in the project. Put my money. Don't become degen in your toy. There are lives behind the project, who have put their money. Most of the time I received the tip first. I returned the same amount to my friends as a form of appreciation. This was allowed, I didn't do it more than 15 times. It's not fair! I collected casts from folks I follow as a vibe check this afternoon > they are all shared in the comments of the quoted cast. Hope you'll take a moment to consider the feedback. Personally always thought McDegen was a lame way to use tips yet would have much preferred this was conveyed in some way in advance before the ban hammer was struck - especially since you had previously supported the mint McDegen in prior seasons/casts. Will settle with your decisions; though I think would have been better to have considered offering some sort of carrot rather than resorting to the stick as a way to award the folks who were tipping in the spirit of Degen. Specifically feel there are quite a few community members who have supported Degen through the year and may have lost their path; and I worry you'll be pushing too many folks the wrong direction with this decision, when at this time Degen needs all the allies it can get to be strong voices in the community. @cadillion https://warpcast.com/brixbounty/0x09728c02

I was banned because I care to tip anyone who tips me the same amount. Never going over the t4t rules. I truly hope this gets resolved for all the ones who don’t deserve to be banned.
