I've fallen down a home server rabbit hole over the past few months: - purchased an Intel N100 mini PC - running Proxmox with ~30 LXC containers and VMs - PiHole for network-wide adblocking - Paperless for document scanning, storage, and LLM-based retrieval - Home Assistant for full home automation (lights on/off based on motion, etc) - Plex for media server - nginx proxy manager for reverse proxy to expose services to internet I can understand why people love this hobby

Love it! Makes my curious. 🤓 Did you have experience with running servers from before? If not, how did you find the Proxmox learning curve? How many cores and how much memory for all that? Any chance of running ollama locally?

I had experience running servers but never with proxmox! Bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it it's easy I have this mini PC: https://www.bee-link.com/products/beelink-mini-s12-pro-n100 I think smaller distilled models could run but probably not well
