Rain 15000 $degen Lots going on with degen today! Many banned from receiving the airdrop (including raindrops, which means these tokens could be basically burnt). I'm banned as a result of the use of mcdegen. I like degen. The ticker is unmatched imo. I'm not a fan of changes being implemented on the day before the airdrop (or is it a dispersment of tips received from a predetermined allocation 🤔), especially pertaining to a use case that was previously spoken of in a good light. Thoughts? The hat stays on 🎩

What changed? I cannot find a cast that explains. It is not nice to change the rules one day before the end of the season.

Essentially anyone who abused mint club / mcdegen (I’ve never used these but I guess there was a way to exploit somehow - though it was allowed before) The 15/15 rule is still in effect and some were banned because the Tip4Tip Frame didn’t show the correct data. For example, I got a DC from RJ the other day warning me that Cristian and I were at 14/14, though the Frame said 11/10 and I thought we were safe. Easily could’ve went over there. Then, there’s another new reciprocal tip rule I believe on top of the 15/15 where if too many back and forth with one person (or maybe it’s certain amounts) can also get you banned. Some people have written comprehensive threads but I can’t recall who off the top of my head.

My issue with banning of mint club/mcdegen users is these services were cast about in a positive light as a good way to use your allo. As far as exploiting an allocation bug, that is easy. Should be banned.

Yup, I 100% agree. Making an announcement stating that moving forward, this is NOT allowed would give people time to pivot from something that used to be allowed to now being not, rather than just going “sorry, banned!”

And yup, the small group of people that exploited that bug to give out like 3x the allow they were supposed to are the ones that absolutely deserve to be banned
