For me, i cannot verify my phone because it has been 'claimed' before. I have one farcaster account, and haven't used this number. @dwr.eth any ideas?

yeah, I'm not giving my phone number to a crypto SM site.

"phone claimed" is weak sauce

They are shipping an update in week or so to fix.

Tbh I would normally be reluctant, but my number is already indirectly linked here via Twitter. 

I am now leaning towards this is something I did as an old dummy. I found out the number was used in May 2024. Seems like this was about the time i started using the desktop client. There is a good chance I did something wrong in that process if there was an opportunity to mess up 😅

I understand after reading the faq. I still don't particularly like it, but i get it.

Makes sense. But still, them using it to verify here? Scary IMO
