i freewheel almost all the food i make 🙂 stitched together some pics from the last similar (chicken) soup i made
i love all soups but for turkey this is the way, make a stock then add whatever you like:
-fill giant pot with water and turkey carcass (bones, meat scraps, and all)
add salt+pepper, herbs/spices, bay leaf, etc, bring to boil
-reduce to low simmer and let it cook/reduce for 6-8 hours (i did this batch over night)
-pull out the bones and tender af meat, gets you way more meat that would otherwise have been wasted
-freeze some of the stock for later use, and use some fresh for soup right now
-add veggies, noodles or potato, meat, more spices etc as you wish
-devour 1 reply
