I actually think most humans live this way, no? the average person spends something like 80% of their time within 3 miles of their home.

that’s true. i believe spending time within 3 miles of home is very different from investing energy and time into what’s happening and who is within 3 miles of home; the latter is more interesting / compelling to me.
