spent the weekend with my superchilled friends who can spend a whole day just hanging out, drinking beers, smoking joints etc. and i learned for the 127th time in my life that i dgaf about chilling. i like to chill for like 1-2 days but then i'm dying to come back to work, to create, to do stuff that matters.

Just had this exact feeling earlier. Spent the weekend doing the same thing with my friends. I appreciate it but it could never be my every day or even my “often” days.

observing my digital nomad friends I came to realise that “chilling” = distraction from the void inside which, ironically, gets bigger the more they chill. My guess is most of them will (want to) die relatively young.

A Picasso quote comes to my mind: “Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.”
