i've been begging @br1an.eth to implement token-gating for months. this would take a competent mid-level engineer about half a day to ship, but for brian, 1-2 weeks (so i understand his hesitation). tho making simple calls to an nft contract onchain is a bit over his head, i will nonetheless keep working on him 🫡

anyone who suggests we token-gate fundamentally doesn't understand live-streaming and how difficult it is to get people to show up at a specific time. adding additional constraints to entry is mid IQ.

unlonely is about creating new novel experiences that anyone can enjoy. end of story.

By this logic, wouldn’t free IRL events like music festivals always get more turnout than paid ones?
