You realize that being a doctor is just a profession, and just like there are good and bad developers, plumbers, or lawyers, the same applies to doctors. That's why, when you get into your 30s, you should look for 10x doctors.

Took me a while to internalize that most health specialist are average. That's obvious (Bell curve ftw!) but for some reason I had seen doctors as exceptional profession, different from everyone else. Truth is they aren't and many implement basic and often outdated heuristic in treatment that doesn't do much

This is true, and I have a feeling it'll keep getting worse due to DEI and inclusion instead of merit. I was prescribed a drug last week by a medical professional but after reading the leaflet, I realised she got the prescription wrong. Smh.
