Farcaster client idea: messaging app tapping into FC social graph.

Farcaster DMs are okay but I don't like getting distracted by the feed & 100 other notifications. I'd prefer a standalone Telegram-like app.

I think @converseapp using XMTP protocol might integrate in some ways with Farcaster at some point.

It's already the case. You can search for any Farcaster address by adding ".fc" after their username.

@macbudkowski would be happy to discuss whatever works / doesn't with you!

I think the challenge is that not enough people use Converse at this point. So probably getting more users via some partnership with FC?

Also, IIRC Farcaster doesn't use XMTP so these would be different DM flows from the ones on Warpcast. And the best user outcome is to have the same flows :)

Would love to work with @dwr.eth and team on making all of this interoperable of course. But you're right, for now it would be different DM flows.

We're actually working on our "own" use cases these days. Will ship Converse frames and groups very soon. Will always be happy to hear about your feedbacks.
