+1. Also, the hard truth is that life is a game of tradeoffs. If you don't like commuting for 3 hrs, change the job for something's closer to you. If you can't find a job closer to you, improve your skills so you'll get it. If there's no jobs closer to you, rent something closer to the office, even if it's smaller.

Damn, I just barely got out of a situation where I was commuting 3 hours a day. Told my bosses I was moving but I would like to stay on fully remote. Took a few weeks and playing hardball with an offer on the table but it worked out 🙏
