Don’t the greens make it into the government for a round to be the scapegoat for every failed policy during that government?

Could be the case in Germany, in Poland the Green Party doesn't even meet the threshold so our hard left parties do their job :)

It was the case in Ireland. There FF and FG hold the main power. Never could understand what the difference is between them. Apparently goes back to a disagreement during the civil war (~1920). From an outsider's perspective it seems like the main job of FF/FG is to make sure that power keeps rotating between them (and that landlords are happy)
