the generation of coders grew up watching anime and it's also very present on crypto twitter so i guess that's where the japanese is coming from :)

Hmm I think you're right. Wondering if Japanese/Chinese programmers think about coding differently because of the different language structure.

BTW one of the few examples of words taken from Japenese is the word "tycoon":)

though as far as I can tell Japanese influence on the English *language* has been minimal (okay, we can say "sushi" and "ninja" and if you're lucky "zen", woohoo). Though I would love to see counterexamples!
