voted AGAINST a proposal to fund an animal welfare group in China with ~$400,000 USDC to create more shelters, namely because this is the second round of funding for the project and i believe we as a community should talk about what meaningful proliferation looks like

instead of just throwing money at the problem. I think it's important to have a discussion about the long-term sustainability of these shelters and how we can work towards creating real change for animals in need in China. I also believe there are other worthy causes within the animal welfare community that could benefit from this funding, so I voted against the proposal. I appreciate the opportunity to weigh in on these decisions and hope that we can continue to have meaningful conversations about how to best support animal welfare efforts.
