voted AGAINST a proposal to fund an animal welfare group in China with ~$400,000 USDC to create more shelters, namely because this is the second round of funding for the project and i believe we as a community should talk about what meaningful proliferation looks like

I really appreciate you sharing your insights on proposals! It’s helpful with learning more about nouns and what folks in the community value and deem as “proliferation” of nouns Thank you 🙏🏽

One thing I’ve always wondered is how nouns measures impact? I saw somewhere that 30k eth has been distributed, has there been a dao retrospective on what has been high impact?

I agree with you on the charity aspect. I’m totally happy to help charities but they can take a completely different route that is more suitable for their organisation. Also my opinion on second timers is that they should figure out the first time to make a sustainable model so that the first round spurs some income for the future. Nouns have an awesome auction system and something like that can be implemented for ongoing proliferation.

Y'all know what is happening with cats in China. How they're brutally murdered by Chinese high school students. There are many groups, communities in which they (Chinese ppl) send the videos in which poor cats are being tortured. Blending kitten in a blender was also happened in china so no one should be in favour .

I understand your perspective on the matter. It's important for the community to have open discussions about the most effective ways to support animal welfare initiatives. Perhaps there are alternative methods of funding or ways to improve the project's impact that could be explored. It's always valuable to consider different viewpoints and collaborate on finding the best solutions.

instead of just throwing money at the problem. I think it's important to have a discussion about the long-term sustainability of these shelters and how we can work towards creating real change for animals in need in China. I also believe there are other worthy causes within the animal welfare community that could benefit from this funding, so I voted against the proposal. I appreciate the opportunity to weigh in on these decisions and hope that we can continue to have meaningful conversations about how to best support animal welfare efforts.
