Long story short. Had a client in Gatteneau. Basically, the Scranton of French Canada. During an on-site training, they encouraged me to order the local specialty. They linked me. Naturally, I got food poisoning, and haven’t touch the stuff ever since. 1 layer lower in ring of hell then ranch ice cream floats.

As a native Montrealer, I have never heard of a better thing in my life than hearing Gatineau described as the Scranton of French Canada hahahaa. Also, poutine from there isn't the good stuff. I'm not a big poutine eater, but have to admit, Gatineau is NOT the spot for the good stuff.

Indeed. Client literally felt like The Office Canada Edition. Candidly, not sure there is much redeeming about that town in general. They put me up at Lac du Luc casino. The closest thing to the antimatter of The Four Seasons I’ve ever experienced. Anti-endorse.

Nothing worse than a travel experience at a sh*tty hotel, in a bland town, and getting food poisoning from sh*tty poutine. Hopefully, that's far behind you now!
