"Many tech giants have already spent years trying to replicate TikTok’s algorithm without quite succeeding." Why do you think it's so hard to replicate the algorithm? Was PageRank ever successfully copied in any way? IIRC the TikTok algo does not require a huge data moat.

honestly, i think it's the secret sauce of how they mix data and trends. every platform's got its own vibe, and tiktok just nailed it. 🤷♂️
