X post from @flynn.eth, who may know more about airdrops than anyone else in the space. change my mind: current one-click mint frames are just airdrops, not value drivers. their distribution is just another flavor of TVL, not LTV. and if airdrops don’t “work”, why should we expect one-click mint frames to?

Farcaster and therefore frames are top of funnel. Retention doesn’t happen at this layer. Companies need a strategy for that.

exactly. zynga was built on top of the "frames" that were called facebook apps. and, airdrops are just like ad buys for users. if you can get them in the door, but can't retain them, that's on your targeting strategy. if you can't capture from the top of the funnel, that's your problem, not the top of the funnel's.
