1. Used CDJs
2. DJed off of a flash drive. Computer only.

imo the main benefit of CDJs is the portability of your sets via USB

other than that, a controller / laptop can move the crowd just the same. most sets just come down to loops, tempo shift, beat jumping, and cue points

Functionally no difference between the two, just depends which one you know. But if I didn’t at least have a basic knowledge of how to use CDJ then I wouldn’t have been able to play some of the gigs I’ve played. Not every place lets you easily bring your own setup
