TOPIC OF THE DAY. As for me, I recently learned about the concept of ā€œmental subtraction of positive events.ā€ Itā€™s a mindset technique where you imagine what your life would be like if a certain positive event or relationship hadnā€™t happened. Itā€™s meant to foster gratitude by shifting your focus from whatā€™s missing to whatā€™s present. It stuck with me because I tend to take the good things in my life for granted while fixating on what I lack. This exercise has helped me pause and genuinely appreciate the small, meaningful parts of my lifeā€”things Iā€™d sorely miss if they were gone. Itā€™s not always easy, but itā€™s powerful.
