Well thought-out. “The many grifters, scam artists, and opportunists who tend to crowd around casinos” is indeed the elephant in the room, and yes, “In cryptocurrency, we have a very sick patient who will need an aggressive and painful course of treatment to be cured.”

Technology itself is neutral, but people often steer it according to their inclinations.  And yes, we do need more “computer-based yeomen” dedicated to the noble vision of 'Read, Write, Own' and directing efforts towards “making something worthwhile to society.”

Cryptocurrency needs drastic reform from opportunists, with a focus on societal value
