37B DEGEN total, so at $1 DEGEN, total market cap would have to be $37B

In November 2021, DOGE had $35B market cap and SHIBA INU $31B

With TOTAL market cap at $3T, this represented a 2.2% share

In the next cycle we might be at ~$10T -> 2.2% = $220B

And we just need $37B 🎩

This is a nice envelope.

I’m still not convinced Degen takes the “prize” this cycle… 

though one would expect something to way outperform and it would be great for our ecosystem if was Degen.  

Though I’m more bearish macro at the moment and wonder what type of head winds this presents overall.

I agree with you there. I was just addressing the total “meme coin” market share here.

Two cycles ago there was only DOGE, then last one SHIBA INU came along as well.

Now, the landscape is even more diverse (PEPE etc.) and it is far from certain which role DEGEN will play here. Long term I am optimistic though.
