Doing the same things over and over again, ritualistically makes life go faster it seems. Doing things that are new makes life feel like it goes slower Yet by putting yourself in a position where you are constantly doing new things over and over again - it puts you back again, where you started - doing the same (new) things over and over again

I distinguish between rituals that I call practical, from those that I would define as pleasurable. Strangely, those that give me pleasure are those that bore me most quickly, those that I give up most easily to make room for new rituals that will bore me sooner or later. I have tried meditation in the past but my weak willpower has always been defeated, with time I have discovered that in the end it is the eternal struggle between yes and no. Not being able to meditate is the result of the deception that our mind produces on ourselves. At least I have come to a conclusion.
