Daily rant: why do people like iMessage? 

- 2nd worst in spam  (after telegram)   
- doesn't sync contacts and some conversations to desktop 
- lets one person have many identities (phone + email) 
- almost no one has pfps 
- tapbacks are boomer

I get why people use it, but why do some people actually prefer it

Sounds like you aren’t familiar with iMessage.

- Spam has nothing to do with the platform, it’s about who has your contact info. iMessage actually offers effective spam reporting if your mobile provider accepts it.

- Syncing is amazing: no other platform syncs better between all my contacts in multiple servers, and merges threads from multiple email and phone numbers into one fluid conversation.

- PFPs are locally controlled, although the sender can elect to make theirs available for recipients to add

- Every social platform uses Tapbacks - not boomer

It’s the superior messaging app.

On a CX level, it has widespread adoption because it’s the default app, it’s integrated at the OS level through the Apple ecosystem, and it works super well.
