Because the narrative was "come to farcaster to make money" via the uncontrolled degen tipping fire hose. now the narrative is shifting to "join our society, build with us, and earn" which is totally NOT what the profiteers want and cannot accommodate. they're trapped and can't unlearn maladaptive twitter strats.

I joined FC 60 days ago so wasn't around for the fire hoses. My motivation was the community, since the dead bird app has become toxic beyond repair. Tipping is great now, since I can engage in it more often, personally 1-on-1 with casters I love. But its not the #1 thing 4 me. I think I may be like a lot of new people
