Jobs' take on this was that computers would transform humans into "the most efficient animal". Curious to know if you have an opinion as to why the IT boom hasn't manifested itself in productivity data yet (e.g. TFP)?

I’m not sure if I trust that data - doesn’t account for consumer surplus of most (often free) internet services - for example see https://www.brookings.edu/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/WP43-8.23.18.pdf
