Live event ticketing platform KYD Labs and famous New York City music venue Le Poisson Rouge (LPR) have signed a multi-year ticketing partnership to exclusively power all shows and tickets on the Layer 1 Aptos blockchain. According to the press release, this is the first that “ticketing for a venue of this magnitude” in the USA is brought completely on-chain. It represents “an unprecedented achievement for a newcomer in ticketing,” it added. 10x Returns on Tickets The country (and the world) are seeing increasing dissatisfaction with traditional ticketing companies. LPR plans to change this and transform the US music industry, the announcement said. It will do so in collaboration with the Aptos blockchain and KYD Labs, which currently serves 500,000 fans. Through the partnership, LPR will address the major issue of inefficient marketing spending caused by limited access to fan data. Venues and artists need to be able to connect with fans at scale in order to market effectively.

A Nigerian court has scheduled the verdict for the tax evasion trial against cryptocurrency exchange Binance for October 11. The announcement was made by presiding judge Emeka Nwite on Friday. Binance faces four counts of tax evasion, including failure to register with Nigeria’s Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). During the proceedings, Binance’s lawyer urged the judge to dismiss all charges, arguing that the case lacks substance.

According to data provided by Lookonchain, Ethereum generated a one-year revenue of $2.72 billion, surpassing the Bitcoin network by a $1.42 billion margin. Data shows that Bitcoin accumulated $1.3 billion in revenue in the same timeframe.

Injective eyes expansion into Web3 gaming with major partnership Injective, an interoperable Layer-1 blockchain for decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, is eyeing diversification into the nascent Web3 gaming ecosystem. On Wednesday, Injective announced its partnership with DEGA, a top game builder platform that’s also deployed on Ethereum, Cardano and BNB Chain. Injective, a provider of a platform for dApps across decentralized exchanges (DEXs), prediction markets, and lending protocols, will leverage DEGA’s ecosystem to launch its next phase of development via Web3 gaming. With DEGA, game builders will be able to quickly design and publish games – a new era for GameFi, according to Injective. The Web3 gaming market continues to witness significant growth, with future projections estimating expansion from $23.9 billion in 2023 to over $133 billion by 2033.

The cryptocurrency derivatives exchange Coinbase International will launch perpetual contracts on altcoins before they are listed on the main platform. The platform will follow the example of competitors like Binance, Bybit, Bitget, and OKX by creating its own launchpad. “When the underlying token is launched on the corresponding spot exchanges, the instrument will convert to a standard perpetual contract,” the announcement stated. The product will be available to institutional investors through Coinbase International and retail traders through Coinbase Advanced. Initial margin for such contracts will be set at 50% or 2x leverage. The notional position limit will be $50,000 per token.
