Well, I’ve officially read all of Frank Herbert’s Dune books! If I had to rank them, I’d say:

Dune, Heretics of Dune, Children of Dune, God Emperor of Dune, Dune Messiah, and Chapterhouse.

While I appreciated each book for what it was, I really loved the first book of each “series.”

It’s a damn shame Frank passed away after this book, because I would’ve loved to see how the BG and HM would’ve moved forward in a hybrid-collaborative way.

One thing I didn’t like was how quickly, briefly, and non-descriptively he killed off characters after spending hundreds of pages developing them!
