Sigh, got FOMO and bought a shitcoin (Base) without doing proper research. And against my better judgement.  

Code changed after the first test tx (buy and sell), and voila... I've been honey potted.

That happened to me with a coin someone recommended to me IRL - I should have known something was up when he said "it only keeps going up" and he was excited because he had some.

normally I'd be like - well, did you check if it was a honeypot? - because I  knew what they were and encountered them before. But no, I flexed and bought some right there in front of him.

Then next day I checked closer and sure enough, it was.  Next week I told him and he was devastated and never heard of that term
