Is Tekken Tag 3 in the cards? Harada talks challenges and the future of the iconic franchise spin-off It's been over 13 years since Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was released on September 14, 2011. Though the game garnered a cult following from some of the most hardcore fans of the series, it was seen commercially as a failure that almost killed the series. "It's a great game for highly skilled players, but for those who can't play it well, before even considering whether a game is fun, they feel like it's their fault that they can't play well. So they stop playing," recently said Harada about why Tekken Tag Tournament 2 failed. "Usually, players feel they should be able to play well, but then they can't and keep losing. They get frustrated and call it a crappy game," continued Harada. "But because they are so close, they keep playing to get better. Once they get it, they find the game pretty fun again."

Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki says FromSoftware isn't "really considering" Elden Ring 2 right now, but he's still not ruling out more of the Lands Between in the future Sorry, Elden Ring fans, it doesn't sound like we'll be returning to the Lands Between for a full-blown sequel any time soon, as director Hidetaka Miyazaki confirms that FromSoftware "isn't really considering" such developments right now. The game director and president of FromSoftware spoke during a roundtable interview at the PlayStation Partner Awards 2024 Japan Asia event last night, where Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree was one of three Grand Award winners (alongside Black Myth: Wukong and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth). Reported by IGN Japan and translated by Automaton, Miyazaki still isn't ruling out further Elden Ring-shaped projects in the future, but for the time being, a sequel isn't in the works.

Make spruces up Agetec arcade stick with two Raspberry Pi Picos Retro gaming goes with the Raspberry Pi like peanut butter and jelly, and today, we've got a delicious sandwich of a project to share that highlights this pair in a totally unique and versatile fashion. Maker and developer ZeroShifter, as they're known over at Reddit, is using not one but two Raspberry Pi Pico microcontrollers to spruce up his old Agetex arcade stick with some serious compatibility upgrades. This controller was initially designed for the Sega Dreamcast, but some people enjoy the user experience, like ZeroShifter. Wanting to use it on more than just this classic console, he sought a way to modify the arcade stick so that it could be used with various other consoles. The result is two Picos crammed inside the case for a range of support from PlayStations and XBoxes to PCs and even the Nintendo Switch. According to ZeroShifter, it also supports VMU saves.

Dungeons & Dragons: 8 Biggest Spell Changes In The 2024 Player's Handbook, Ranked While the 2024 Player's Handbook for Dungeons & Dragons added a few new spells, it also made plenty of changes to existing spells. In most cases, it just adds more healing or damage, but in a few select spells, the effects are so different that it might as well be a new spell altogether. We’ve chosen the spells most impacted by the changes in the 2024 Handbook; that way, you can be better prepared for future campaigns. If you’re looking for changes to cantrips, we’ve covered that in a different article since we are focusing here on spells level 1 or higher. While the 2014 rendition of the Grease spell didn’t specify that it was flammable, many players assumed so. It was such a popular belief that, in Baldur’s Gate 3, the spell is indeed flammable, making for interesting combos with any fire-based spells.

The Sims 4 Reveals Life and Death Expansion Pack and More EA has just announced the Life and Death expansion pack for The Sims 4, which is coming out on October 31. The new content will introduce gameplay centered around life, death, and the supernatural. Along with the expansion pack, The Sims 4 is also adding new kits and hosting in-game events throughout September, sticking to its routine of regular updates and fresh content. Since its launch in 2014, The Sims 4 has continued to evolve, with over 50 DLC packs adding new features. From early updates that brought toddlers and terrain tools to expansions like Seasons and Cats & Dogs, the game has steadily grown in depth and scope. Maxis and EA have also worked hard to make the game more diverse and inclusive, adding customizable skin tones, gender options, and pronouns. Far from done, the Sims 4 development team continues to work on upcoming new content.

Goldfish "defeated" the final boss of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree The GamesRadar portal drew attention to the fact that the final boss of the large-scale Shadow of the Erdtree addition to the Elden Ring submitted to an ordinary goldfish. The material contains spoilers for the addon. The hero of this story is the Tortellini goldfish, owned by the PointCrow streamer — real name Eric Morino — and last summer already "defeated" several bosses from the main Elden Ring campaign. Morino connected the control of the Elden Ring character to Tortellini's position in the aquarium. In which part of the tank the fish brain will bring the streamer's pet, the hero on the screen will perform such an action. Thus, Tortellini was able to defeat the Future consort Radan, who acts as the final boss in Shadow of the Erdtree — certainly one of the most difficult opponents in the addon and Elden Ring in general.
