An April 7, 1985, movie script for "Predator" (1987) did not include the movie's opening scene of a starfield with a spaceship launching an object toward Earth.

Without that scene, the first visual indication of the Predator occurs about 35 minutes into the film, during Act 2, when the  audience gets a partial view of the Predator's form as its cloaking device malfunctions during a skirmish.

Going into the movie with no foreknowledge, there would have been no indication it was a sci-fi film until about a third of the way into it.
