Arkham Intelligence analysts reported that on October 24, a hacker stole $20 million from a cryptocurrency wallet controlled by the US government. According to Arkham, the attacker sent the stolen assets to a wallet with the address 0x348, converted them into Ethereum (ETH), and then began laundering them through unknown addresses, most likely associated with cryptocurrency mixers. Currently, the criminal's wallet contains assets worth about $13 million. According to experts, the hacker gained access to funds seized from Ilya Lichtenstein and his wife Heather Morgan. They are accused of stealing assets from the Bitfinex exchange and will appear in a US court in November of this year.
