If you could witness any event in the past, what would it be and why?

Close call between birth of the universe, and the first emergence of life

Both would be so cool. 

Would love to see what preceded the Big Bang.

Would also love to see emergence of life:
aka was it in a “warm little pond,” near hydrothermal vents, or from extraterrestrial origins?

Of the two, I feel that I would choose the first - but realistically I want to see both.

Pre big bang views could be a bunch of devs hacking away at code and then launching a server ! 😶‍🌫️

It’s a good philosophical ponderance

Origin of life might be more meaningful moment 

Could be some monkey paw thing tho where I am whisked off to far away galaxy to get a glimpse of some slime molds that beat our cellular ancestors by a millenia but then evolutionarily dead ended💀 

Where as universe is absolute
