(PS - I think the way playoff matchups should be determined is that you get to *choose* your opponent based on your seed. It's not only more fair, but can you imagine the amount of hate and drama that would create?!)

Getting into the weeds a bit here - let’s say they are still using the play-in tournament to decide the 7th and 8th teams.

At that point the #1 seed gets to pick their opponent, but can they pick anyone from #2-8 or can they only pick from the 5-8 seeds?

In other words, do the top 4 teams get to draft their opponent from the bottom 4? Otherwise seems too extreme that OKC could choose HOU as their opponent, and then LAL technically gets 2nd pick
