3:10 to Yuma is a rare film where both the original and the remake are excellent. True Grit as well. Magnificent Seven not so much.

Kind of unfair to compare Magnificent Seven and Seven Samurai, the latter is a literal masterpiece.

And Magnificent Seven ain’t bad anyway!  Yul Brenner, Steve McQueen, and Charles Bronson…I mean it’s more camp but it makes it fun.

Yes but original MS is a solid Western. Kurosawa in a league of his own.
