reading a paper that uses the common sociological measure of network diversity as the of different occupations in which a person has a social tie. eg, do you have a social tie with someone who is a: teacher, lawyer, janitor, engineer, executive, waiter, artist, investor? wdyt it would be for us and/or crypto twitter?

The same, no? Network diversity is the diversity of people you have a tie with. You can play around with this (ie not just occupation, but gender, language, location and not just direct tie but 2nd degree), but it feels similar for a social network. For blockchain (tech) networks it would be different.

i think crypto's network diversity is actually rather small; there's a surprising amount of people who spend the majority of their social interactions interacting with other people who work in crypto (at least the people who are online often)
