Donā€™t use the term ā€œnormieā€ when describing a non-crypto-native audience if youā€™re aiming for mass adoption. Itā€™s a diminutive and critical term. Itā€™s harder to empathize with a group that you ā€œotherā€. It has political connotations, which should be avoided in product development. Just donā€™t.

From the ppl in the back: Can we call ourselves normies? I primarily use it to let ppl know that Iā€™m not a dev/engineer/founder

You can call yourself whatever you like, and I suspect there is a word that describes you better than ā€œnormieā€. In general, a statement of what you are rather than arenā€™t feels more empowering to me

I feel that ā€œnormieā€ just generally describes those of us who have no background in tech whatsoever (whether by education or by trade) Some folks have told me Iā€™m not actually a normie anymore šŸ˜‚
