It's because it forces people to engage to be seen. If you come in here and start blasting 1-way communication, you won't be seen. Start by replying with trusted users and your content will eventually start to rise.

respectfully, I disagree that "start by replying with trusted users ... eventually start to rise". And maybe it's mostly a question of timing/patience/faith, rather than direction. There are several organic sub-communities of 20-500 real people who engage with each other, encourage and lift each other up, etc. I have not seen (yet) a lot of pollination with the groups that existed pre-channels. The closest is perhaps FBI? At a stretch, we might say Degen? When the group gets big enough to actually maybe be heard for specific requests that would help them (e.g., Japanese Farcaster enthusiasts), newer product decisions kick em in the nuts while aiming at bots
