It's because it forces people to engage to be seen. If you come in here and start blasting 1-way communication, you won't be seen. Start by replying with trusted users and your content will eventually start to rise.

have to agree, and it is sad! having been through the 'buzzy cool group chat loses signal' cycle a few times i think that you either have enough missionaries or too many mercenaries cosplaying as missionaries, not sure which is true about Farcaster yet

I used to have the same opinion. Still not far away from the truth, but it feels way less circle-jerky after the degen/base hype decline. My 2c: look for channels that deal with topics you're interested in, and try to actively cast/reply for a month. Will probably change your perspective

Yeah, I agree. Also I would like to engage in some communities around topics/interests, but that doesn’t exists. Channels don't build communities, it's just a feed of separate casts that quickly disappear. It's getting tiring. I can't find my place and my tribe.

The current social model on Farcaster requires users to actively interact and work hard to gain attention, which might not be appreciated by everyone. However, I find it very rewarding to invest time and achieve some results. Farcaster is still in its early stages, which gives me more opportunities for success compared to other platforms.

Hmmm have to disagree. I’m relatively new to Farcaster but have never had this much engagement, connections, interaction online anywhere, ever. It feels like it’s filled here with people that share the same interests as me, trying to find their way and their tribe. And in some cases finding it, in some creating it themselves. Being as early as you were means having a totally cool, but unsustainable experience. It won’t ever stay like it was in the beginning. I see and experience the bots, farmers, other spammy users. It remains to be seen if true signal can drown out the noise, but Farcaster feels so much nicer than X, Insta, TikTok or any other TradSoMe out there. And don’t get me started on @drakula 😱
