I think base acquiring merkle is inevitable. Merkle’s recent push to align themselves even harder with ethereum/evm ecosystem is further hint of this.

Doesn’t really make sense. Aqui-hire the team of <30 people at MM? It will cost you >$1B and that’s assuming D/V want to sell (doubt it).

you build on base get initial distribution with farcaster get it to the public via coinbase $1B may look cheap in retrospect. If ethereum is worth $400B, what is its #1 L2 worth? And what is it’s most powerful distribution mechanism worth?
