I think there’s standards formation occurring in this direction.

I don’t think there’s QR code flow is as alien to people as he thinks, and is way more teachable than using a password manager correctly.

Does using a PW manager like 1pass/VaultWarden solve cross platform?

It doesn’t really help my family though, who I have not been able to get on to a proper password manager.

Yep, it does. The credential manager is the ecosystem in question. 

And yeah, I have a family member with dementia who is the most in need of a password manager and far and away the least capable of using one.
