post-reading jonathan haidt, time to play devil's advocate current web2 social: like/reply-performance algo -> increased unhealthy social comparison -> increased anxiety, polarization, depression the core design elements of most web3 social is $, which can bring out even worse in people and this is good? discuss :)

It’s not good. The playbook for hacking human psychology for addiction is known (in: Hooked by Eyal). $$ takes this to the next level. The hope of DeSo is bringing all stakeholders to the table. If users have more say in what is being built and devs have more access to capital, maybe we will end up with smth better.
