One neat part of working in DAOs that focus on public goods (Gitcoin, Optimism) is getting to work with some incredible people that are “unemployable” who wouldn’t join a company but believe in the DAO’s mission. Some people I wouldn’t have had a chance to work with otherwise

Some reasons they would be “unemployable” - they are a founder themselves, OG crypto person who doesn’t need to work for money anymore, not interested in full-time or working at a traditional corporation, etc

‘What’s surprised me is that I don’t really care that much what I’m working on if I get to do it with these people.’ From an article we’ve just written 😂

I was fortunate enough to be one of those people. On paper, I’m relatively unemployable due to limited work history as well as a large gap in my work history. By being active in an NFT community, I managed to get a job with the project.
