Ooh I’ve also been nomadic for the last 4 years. I have a suitcase and backpack though. What’s your packing list for just a backpack? Same interest in book genres too. Any recommendations?

Wow, impressive. What is 1 surprising/counterintuitive thing you've learned from living out of 1 backpack?

How easily my mind adjusted to having only a small set of things. I got briefly reunited with a suitcase full of my old items when my parents drove over to visit me and I weirdly got so overwhelmed by the amount of additional items and choices, I didn't use it

Thanks for sharing, Linda, those are great lists :) Totally agreed on being overwhelmed by additional items and choices too - I felt the same way when I was at my parents place. Minimalism is absolutely liberating

Thanks for sharing! I lived abroad in SE Asia and did my shopping in small bodega style stores. I remember coming home to a standard US sized grocer and being overwhelmed at the number of toothpaste options. Love to hear it's easy to downscale mentally (for you at least, lol).
