The top 100 on the Warpcast Rewards leaderboard last week just received a Base Colors 1/1 NFT straight to their Warpcast Wallet! Permissionless rewards 🔥

Love this idea! But the leaderboard algo should be more transparent. Sure you're permissionlessly rewarding users, but a private company is still deciding who gets rewarded

I don't have full context on that yet but imagining that it's to prevent gaming if people know the algo, how do you balance people trying to game if the formula is public?

Id argue that gaming the system is an inevitable challenge whether the algo is public or private. The real challenge is designing incentives that align user behavior with the intended outcomes. Without transparency, we have no way of verifying what the actual goals are beyond retaining existing users and driving DAU growth. We also can't assess whether the system is working as intended, or if the private algo is truly fair for everyone
