i'm trying to build an onchain payment solution for offline merchants tried something new this morning: went for a walk around /lisbon and visited a bunch of cafรจs for short interviews turns out i didn't find any owner in place, so ended up getting emails or instagram handles to reach out about my market research so i decided to change strategy: i'm back home now after lunch and will start to scrape cafรจs emails with some tools and send a bunch of cold emails let's see what happens next

Just a suggestion from someone who has done a lot of cold calling/sales at local retail establishments. Try a phone call if you can get their number. They are likely inundated with emails from people trying to sell them shit and you might be lumped in the same pile with an email. If I can get someone on the phone on the other hand, I can almost always have a good outcome.

tks for sharing! the problem is that if i call, and the owner is not there, a random employee answers and tells me that i need to reach out to the owner by email same that happened while going there in person, isn't it?

Yeah, for sure. That's probably the go-to answer. Another option that may or may not be conducive to what you're trying to do is using Linked-in. I have had a lot of luck getting in touch with business owners directly that way. Albeit with the paid service that lets you message anyone directly.
